Bruno Automotive has been locally owned and operated in North Vancouver for over 40 years. We are a family-run business that offers dealership-level quality and knowledge without the massive price tag. Our staff are automotive enthusiasts who take pride in treating each customer's car like their own. Whether it is your daily driver or your collectible show car, we are here to help! Founded in 1983, Bruno Restivo operated out of our old location at 981 3rd ST W up until 2020 when his long-time technician, Colton Gaudreault, purchased the business and continued his legacy. One of the challenges faced by Bruno Automotive's new owners was competing with local dealerships and higher-end services while maintaining the same pricing and quality proven to our customers over the years. A new and improved location would be the answer! In 2021 we began renovations at our new location 308 Kennard Ave and by late 2022 we were moved in ready to take Bruno Automotive to the next level!


At this new location, we were able to set up advanced diagnostic bays as well as space for various levels of project cars.

We provide leading auto repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance on all makes and models of cars and trucks with our courteous and knowledgeable staff.


We have been repairing and maintaining Subaru's for more than three decades and have a combined 60 years of experience repairing and maintaining Volvo's! You won't find a more knowledgeable staff on the North Shore to service your vehicle.

Colton Gaudreault


Colton Gaudreault joined the team as an apprentice in 2014 and achieved his Red Seal Certification under Bruno Restivo and became shop foreman in 2017. Colton has since taken over Bruno's role in 2020 as shop manager. With a background specializing in off-road and classic vehicles, Colton has also fine tuned his diagnostic abilities to tackle complex electrical problems covering a wide range of vehicle brands.

Jessica, with her roots in automotive insurance, brings a profound understanding of the significance a vehicle holds for its owner. Ted became a valuable member of the Bruno Automotive team in 2010, having recently relocated from the Philippines to Canada. A dedicated family man and hardworking individual, Ted brought with him prior experience as a technician back home. Expanding upon his existing knowledge, he honed his skills to specialize in major drivetrain and engine repairs Ted has emerged as our Subaru and Volvo expert, boasting an extensive and unparalleled familiarity with these two brands. His expertise is underscored by the fact that he has dedicated more time to Subaru and Volvo than some of our employees have spent in the trade altogether, solidifying Ted's role as an invaluable asset to our team.
